A Makeup Revelation: Tightlining

I've recently discovered a new makeup technique that made me wonder how I ever lived without it before.

Tightlining involves applying eyeliner directly to your lashline, but underneath the eyelashes, rather than on top like you'd normally do. You don't want to apply it to the upper waterline, but instead your focus is to fill in the gaps between your lashes. This makes your lashes look longer and fuller, and also makes your eyes pop so much more. It's amazing because it takes such a tiny effort for a tremendous outcome. It can really enhance a smoky eye, but I prefer to use it as a simple, everyday look that doesn't look over-done, and it doesn't look like I have any makeup on at all!

The best eyeliner to use for tightlining is Laura Mercier's Tightline Cake Eyeliner and the brush that goes along with it. It's long-lasting, easy to use, and it doesn't bother my very sensitive eyes. Below is a video on how to tightline with the product. Once you get the hang of it, it can be done in a matter of seconds and you'll have bolder eyes with hardly any effort!
